Arnau Muriá

Arnau Muriá graduated in law from the University of Guadalajara (México, 1997). During his degree he attended courses at Harvard University (Cambridge, USA), at Escuela Libre de Derecho (Mexico City, Mexico) and in the field of Human Rights. Postgraduate degree in International and Comparative Law from Pittsburgh University (USA, 1998). Postgraduate degree in International Relations from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona, 2001). Courses at The Hague Academy of International Law (2001-2002). Internship at the Permanent Bureau of The Hague Conference on Private International Law (2002-2003).

Arnau Muriá has a wide experience in Mexican Procedural Law, having taking part in renowned cases in Mexico relating to Intellectual Property, Compensatory Tariffs of International Trade and Forum Non Conveniens. By virtue of his legal defense in two cases he achieved the amendment of Positive Mexican Law. Furthermore he is specialized in Administrative, Civil Commercial and Private International Mexican Law.

Prior to joining Xavier Pareja Advocats, he was advisor of the Senate of the Mexican Republic in the field of International Law.

Likewise, he has been Professor of Private International Law and Business International Law at the University of Guadalajara (Mexico, 2004-2017), member of the Mexican Academy of Private International and Comparative Law and of the American Association of Private International Law. He has given lectures in multiple forums and has published various articles.

His work in Xavier Pareja Advocats mainly concerns to matters involving Latin- America.

His working languages are Spanish, English and, more recently, Catalan.
